<p class="mw-empty-elt"></p><p><b>microReticulum</b> is a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%2B%2B" class="extiw external" title="wikipedia:C++">C++</a> port of <a href="RNS" title="RNS">RNS</a> that runs on 32-bit <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microcontroller" class="extiw external" title="wikipedia:Microcontroller">microcontrollers</a> (e.g. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESP32" class="extiw external" title="wikipedia:ESP32">ESP32</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordic_Semiconductor#nRF52_Series_SoCs" class="extiw external" title="wikipedia:Nordic Semiconductor">nRF52</a>), as well as on native platforms with <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="https://platformio.org/">PlatformIO</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CMake" class="extiw external" title="wikipedia:CMake">CMake</a> build support (for Linux and macOS systems).<sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>

<p><a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="https://github.com/attermann/microReticulum_Firmware">microReticulum_Firmware</a> is a fork of the official <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="https://github.com/markqvist/RNode_Firmware">RNode_Firmware</a> that integrates the microReticulum network stack, resulting in a fully self-contained standalone Reticulum <a href="Node" title="Node">node</a> without the need for a host <a href="Instance" title="Instance">instance</a>, which is typically required for RNodes.<sup id="cite_ref-:0_2-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-:0-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>
